I think it’s pretty common for people to sleep on the beauty of winter.

Winter is an absolutely beautiful season filled with magical views and wonderful holidays!

Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first to tell the world about how much I hate shoveling and scraping ice, but there’s a lot to romanticize about winter when you put your mind to it.

All this to say, don’t be discouraged if your due date is in the spring and you’re looking at having a winter baby shower.

This should actually make you excited because of all the gorgeous winter baby shower themes at your fingertips!

From holiday themes to winter wonderlands and cozy cabin decor, there’s something for everyone on this list.

I had my baby shower in January and loved how easy it was to find beautiful discounted winter decor by shopping for on sale Christmas decor.

It was so cozy to have everyone be in knit sweaters. I was gifted so many beautiful baby blankets that we still use all the time.

Though maybe unpopular, I would recommend a winter baby shower to anyone who is able to have one.

So if you’re feeling uninspired about having a baby shower in winter, don’t fret. Just keep scrolling and I guarantee one of these ideas will get you excited!

Snowflakes and babies have a few things in common! They’re each completely unique, absolutely beautiful, and thrilling to see for the first time.

This makes a snowflake theme absolutely perfect for a winter baby shower!

Fill your space with sparkly snowflakes or DIY cut out snowflakes to create a magical winter landscape. This can easily be done in pink or blue depending on the baby’s gender.

2. Baby, It’s Cold Outside!

Now obviously the true meaning of the song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” has nothing to do with babies or baby showers, but it still makes for a cute theme idea.

You just have to use your imagination a little bit with who baby is referring to.

Create an icy white winter wonderland for this theme that will make your guests excited about the cold weather and welcoming of your little one!

3. Sugar Plum Fairy

Credit: @kevinandersonst

You either grew up in a Nutcracker family or you didn’t, but my family was a hardcore Nutcracker family around the holidays.

I’ve seen the ballet more times than I could possibly count and from many different ballet companies, but the sugar plum fairies are always the most beautiful part of the show.

Recreate this beauty by filling the space with sparkly pinks and purples, twinkly lights, and anything that shimmers for this winter baby shower theme.

4. Baby Woodland Creature on the Way

Baby woodland creatures are adorable…babies are adorable…are you catching my drift here?

If you want the perfect wood-sy and outdoor-sy theme for your winter baby shower, go the woodland creature route!

From baby bears to deer and every mountain goat in between, these precious creatures will give you plenty of decor options to play with.

5. Walking in a Winter Womb-derland

Okay maybe the pun is a bit of a stretch, but it’s the kind of goofy thing that I absolutely live for.

A baby shower is the perfect excuse to be a little bit silly and whimsical, so why not take advantage of that with this punny theme?

This is the perfect theme for those wanting to turn their event space into a stunning snowy landscape filled with snowflakes, icicles, and frosted trees.

6. Waddle It Be?

If your baby shower is also doubling as a gender reveal party, then how precious and perfect is this penguin waddle it be theme?

Let your guests choose what they think the gender will be with this adorable snowball set up.

Then make the big reveal before or after opening gifts. A friend of mine once told me to wait to make the gender announcement until after the shower if you don’t want to get exclusively blue or pink clothing and blankets!

7. Our Little Lantern Light

This little lantern light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!

Babies are the perfect light at the end of the tunnel to get you through the long cold months of winter pregnancy.

Reflect this idea in your baby shower theme by creating this cute and cozy cabin set up filled with beautiful rustic lanterns for lighting.

8. Into the Woods We Go

Having a baby can truly feel like walking into the woods with no compass, no map, and only a diaper bag on your back.

You know there will be challenges, but you also know it’s going to be one of the most beautiful things you’ve ever experienced!

A winter woods themed baby shower expresses this theme and gives you plenty of opportunity for some stunning party decor.

9. Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

Credit: @thebasicbirchco

You know the lyrics to this classic: “Ain’t no mountain high enough, ain’t no valley low enough, ain’t no river wide enough, to keep me from you!”

This song really encapsulates the love you’ll have for your newborn baby and subsequently makes for one of the best winter baby shower themes.

Create your very own DIY mountain range like the photo above with pieces of plywood and some paint, or paint a backdrop with a scenic range for photos!

10. A Little Sweetheart is on the Way

A lot of winter baby shower themes I’ve seen are focused around Christmas or the beginning of winter, but it’s not up to us when the baby comes!

If you have a due date in the spring or later winter, there are still fun ideas for a post Christmas winter baby shower.

How adorable is this Valentine’s Day little sweetheart theme for a February shower? Playing up the Valentine’s theme will give you tons of fun food and decor options for your guests.

11. New Life in the New Year

Credit: @creatingmemoriesla

This photo is technically from a New Year’s Eve wedding, but I think this would also make a beautiful baby shower theme.

Kill two birds with one stone by combining your celebrations for the new year and the new life to come!

Plus, this theme gives you an excuse to go crazy with glitter, sparkles, and shine. Not that you needed an excuse, but it still helps.

12. We Can Bearly Wait

I love a good bear theme and a baby shower is truly the perfect party to make all about bears.

Whether a boy or girl is on the way, your color palette is sure to be beautiful with the warm browns and beiges.

Just imagine the cute invitations you could create with this theme! Not to mention all the fun snacks and cute gifts you’ll receive.

13. Candy Cane Lane

Credit: @thetreasurecorner

Fill your baby shower with beautiful stripes and cute candies with this adorable candy cane lane themed baby shower.

The best thing about this theme is the excuse you’ll have to stock your party with candy!

This is the perfect theme for a Christmas baby shower and using candy canes as decor will save you a pretty penny.

14. Our Little Cookie is on the Way

The cutest little cookie is about to come into your life, and the perfect way to have a picture perfect shower is with this gingerbread theme.

What I love most about this theme is that you have a built in activity for your guests by building gingerbread houses!

Have a competition to see who can create the cutest gingerbread house for your newly growing family.

15. Timberrr!!

I can’t think of anything much cuter than a little lumberjack theme for a winter baby shower.

All the cute details in red buffalo check, wooden decor pieces, and lumberjack suspenders make for perfect party pieces.

Have the cutest and coziest cabin vibes for your guests to walk into and adorable pictures to treasure for years to come!

There has to be a more responsible way to influence than just chasing trends and encouraging spending, right?

I find recently that I don’t think about the same things I used to. I used to be more concerned with if I was being a good person or if the people around me were happy. More and more, I find myself sucked into the consumerism cycle that makes me focus on nothing more than what more can I have.

I’m sick of it and I know I’m not the only one. Somehow I gained a following, and now more than ever I feel it’s my responsibility to use it wisely.

My greatest hope for my page is that you could leave feeling nourished, fulfilled, and happier with your day to day life. I never want to contribute to an online experience that makes you feel more depleted, more unhappy, and more dissatisfied.

If this is how you feel too, I hope the algorithm did its thing and brought this video to you. I’m desperate to find like minded friends. 🫶🏻
