These pumpkin painting ideas for the whole family will give you all the great memories and cute fall decor without all the mess of carving pumpkins!
Published: 7/29/24
Look don’t get me wrong, I loved carving pumpkins growing up. It’s some of my best childhood memories of Halloween!
But one thing I have never loved, even when I was little, is how messy, smelly, and slimy the whole process was.
I loved the outcome and I loved spending time with my family, but I always could have done without the gutting of the pumpkins.
Now that I’m an adult and get to make the decisions for my own family, I have decided there is a better way.
We will officially be a pumpkin PAINTING family instead of a carving one.
It captures all the essence of my happy pumpkin carving memories, but once the crafts are done, the only thing left to do is put away paint!
No stinky pumpkins guts, no slippery pumpkin seeds all over, and no having to light candles in pumpkins ever night.
Plus, the opportunities with paint on pumpkins are endless!
So if you’re in the same boat as me and don’t want the hassle of pumpkin carving, but still want to create beautiful and fun decor for your front step this fall, these pumpkin painting ideas are for you.
