15 Perfect Galentine’s Day Brunch Decor Ideas the Gals Will Gush Over

This post breaks down 15 of the cutest Galentine’s Day brunch decor ideas that your guests will NOT stop raving about!

This post contains affiliate links and blah blah you know the drill. Check out my disclosures if you in fact do not know the drill.

If there’s one thing women struggle to do, it’s treat themselves.

Pretty much every woman I know is amazing at making the people in their life feel loved, but struggle to love themselves. This Valentine’s Day, I want all the selfless woman in my life to FEEL THE LOVE! And so enters Galentine’s Day.

Flashback to 2010, when the show Parks and Rec was at peak popularity. Blonde icon Leslie Knope spoke the history making words of Galentine’s Day. We have her to thank for this day for women.

As you begin planning your Galentine’s Day brunch festivities, I’ve listed 15 Galentine’s Day brunch decor ideas for you to copy that the girls won’t stop talking about for months.

Now before we get into decor, let’s breakdown some of the party planning decisions that will influence your decor plan. Starting with what type of food you want to serve.

Food Options

  • Plated Meal: For the chefs and experienced cooks out there (couldn’t be me), you’re probably considering a full plated meal. If this is the case for you, just make sure to plan accordingly for amount of people as well as time of arrival.
  • Buffet: A buffet can be a great and easier option when it comes to brunch. Food like waffles, bacon, and boiled eggs are easy to make in bulk. Set them out for the guests to serve themselves and take some of the burden off your plate.
  • Appetizers/Treats: If you’re like me and the thought of attempting to make food for all your girlfriends is intimidating, you can take the treat option and run with it. Buy donuts, pastries, and cakes to serve that require little work on your part, but still make every guest happy.

Drink Options

  • Mimosas: A tried and true classic. It’s always fun to play with what juice you use to match the color scheme of your party. I suggest cranberry, cherry, or grapefruit for your Galentine’s Day brunch!
  • Coffee: I would be downright upset if I arrived at a brunch without coffee. The girls are gonna need it. ESPECIALLY if we’re day drinking.
  • Tea and Juice: I’m a firm believer that every party should have NA options. You just never know when someone isn’t drinking and it can bring up some uncomfortable questions if someone is declining!

Now that you’ve determined what kind of brunch you’ll be hosting, hopefully you have a better feel for what kind of decor you’ll need.

That’s where I come in. 🙂

Starting off strong with the actual prettiest table I’ve ever seen from Chanel Moving Forward.

Valentine’s Day is all about candy and sweets so decorate your table with sweet treats!

A great way to incorporate a theme into a tablescape is utilizing colorful serving dishes like these red cake stands and heart shaped platters.

2. Rose All Day

Rose might as well have been made for Valentine’s Day. Even more specifically, GALentine’s Day!

If there is a day for pink drinks, it is this day.

I love this idea of letting the beautiful cans and bottles be the decor with an open cooler. The balloons tied to the bottles is an extra cute touch.

3. Coffee Bar

Like I said earlier, coffee is an absolute must. Since we know we will be spending time by the coffeemaker, don’t let the decor opportunities go to waste!

Themed disposable coffee cups and sleeves will go a long way for your Galentine’s Day brunch decor.

Half of the fun of Starbucks is having a warm, cute cup in your hand!

4. Mimosa Making Station

It’s the little extra touches like this adorable mimosa station that will absolutely wow your friends.

All it takes is a couple juice options, some cute themed straws, and cut-out heart shaped labels to achieve this simple yet impactful bar.

The colored drinks in everyone’s hands will look so cute in photos as well!

5. Outdoor Picnic

Obviously an outdoor Valentine’s Day picnic is entirely dependent on what the weather is like where you live (I live in South Dakota so this would look very different here) but how LOVELY.

Throw a red blanket down with some pink and white throw pillows for seating.

Grab a bottle of rose and some finger foods and enjoy being in the sun with your girls!

6. Buffet for Babes

If your Galentine’s Day brunch decor will not be including a full tablescape, this space-saving brunch bar is a great way to go!

When hosting in a smaller home or apartment, having a dining table with seating for everyone may not be an option.

Get crafty with your space and serve your food on a sofa table or counter top, then just make sure there’s plenty of alternate seating throughout the space!

7. Waffle Bar

shop heart shaped waffle makers

Waffles are hands down the easiest brunch food to make in bulk. They also are some of the easiest foods to make look cute!

I love these heart shaped waffles. Spruce them up with red, white, and pink sprinkles.

Offer some whipped cream and berries as toppers and the food will quickly become part of the decor!

8. Balloon Wall of Hearts

This wall of heart balloons makes such a bold statement without being over the top or loud.

Plus, it’s relatively easy to set up, but looks expensive and thought out!

The girls will absolutely love this and bonus if you offer a balloon for all of your guests to take home with them.

9. Assorted Vintage Glassware

I’m an absolute sucker for vintage glassware. It is so elegant and adds such a great touch to any table.

The best thing about it is often glasses like the ones seen above can be thrifted and sourced instead of bought new.

The more fun shapes, sizes, and themed colors you can find, the better the table will look. So get thrifting!

10. Park it On Pillows

Another great Galentine’s Day brunch decor ideas for smaller spaces is this makeshift coffee table turned dining table!

Sometimes it’s fun to just abandon chairs altogether and hang out on the floor with your besties.

Who says a coffee table has to be for coffee only?

11. Flirty Photo Backdrop

Having a photo op station is a must if you and your friends like to take pictures.

There’s so many creative ways you could take this, but I especially like this fringe streamer heart.

Photo backdrops are easy DIY projects that can be really fun to put together and use!

12. Elegant Tea Party

Every girl secretly dreams of having tea parties. Sometimes it can feel silly, but I always think a tea party is a fun idea!

The elegant lace and patterned china is so beautiful paired with fresh pink roses and chocolate truffles.

This Galentine’s Day brunch decor look is timeless and sure to be a hit with your guests.

13. Pastry Platters

If you’re like me and think trying to cook a meal for your guests sounds like a terrible time, try these pastry platters instead!

You can use any kind of pastry or baked good you find at the store, and most pastries look so beautiful on their own that they do the bulk of the decorating for you!

Macarons are always a great go to because they come in so many colors, but check your local bakery for Valentine’s themed treats as well.

14. Candles and Candy Hearts

Talk about the world’s easiest and most affordable Valentine’s Day centerpiece!

Candy hearts have the perfect pastel color palette for Galentine’s Day brunch decor and they’re incredibly cheap to buy in bulk.

Not only do they look great, but your guests can enjoy snacking on them as well.

15. Galentine’s Goodie Bags

And last but not least, every well hosted party has goodie bags for their guests!

Gift bags and ribbons are so easy and cheap to find at your local dollar store or pharmacy.

Fill them with candies, baked goods, and lotions or cosmetics so give your gals an extra little “I love you” before they head out the door.

Amazon links have become so common that we don’t Amazon links have become so common that we don’t even think twice about using them, but should we?

I used to shop from Amazon WEEKLY. Picking up little things here and there to follow trends or utilizing the ease of fast delivery to my door.

But I never felt great about it knowing that there were small businesses out there that needed my money more. I just never knew where to find them.

That’s why I wanted to create this platform! To make shopping small and secondhand feel easy and sexy again.

If you’re not convinced yet, here are my top 3 reasons to stop shopping Amazon:
1. Sustainability- In 2019, Amazon’s carbon emissions (ONE company) surpassed that of the entire country of Norway. And it’s only grown since (like by A LOT).
2. Unfair Pay for Workers- Though they’re a multi-billion dollar corporation, most employees aren’t making enough to support their families.
3. THERE ARE NO ETHICAL BILLIONAIRES- I don’t want Jeff Bezos getting a penny from me 🥰

I also feel strongly that delivery services are the greatest contributor to the loneliness epidemic we’re experiencing today. We belong in public spaces, interacting with other humans at thrift stores and brick and mortar shops.

If any of this resonates with you, give @romanticizingrach a follow so together we can find the best small business alternatives and hold each other accountable to shopping secondhand 🫶🏻

Have to give my parents credit for this as well be Have to give my parents credit for this as well because even though I know now we were struggling, they never made it our problem as children.

Having less forced us to be outside more, be home more, spend more time together, and get through the hard times as a unit. It taught me to sacrifice and to be resilient, and I want my child to learn those same lessons in life.

Now obviously I’m not talking about the kind of poverty that leaves children hungry and uncared for, but most families live in the gray area between poverty and a comfortable middle class.

Don’t let anyone make you feel like you’re a bad parent if you’re in that gray area and living paycheck to paycheck. If your kids needs are met and you are loving them as hard as you can, then you’re doing more than enough to set them up for a life of happiness.

Do you agree with this take or am I totally off base???

It is so challenging to hold on to the passions that bring you joy after becoming a mom. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to do things like this and be given grace and acceptance to bring my son with me everywhere I go.

In the darkness, we have to look for the light. Connect with your community, make some imperfect art, sing some songs that make you happy, and come back stronger with renewed hope.
