If there’s one thing women struggle to do, it’s treat themselves.
Pretty much every woman I know is amazing at making the people in their life feel loved, but struggle to love themselves. This Valentine’s Day, I want all the selfless woman in my life to FEEL THE LOVE! And so enters Galentine’s Day.
Flashback to 2010, when the show Parks and Rec was at peak popularity. Blonde icon Leslie Knope spoke the history making words of Galentine’s Day. We have her to thank for this day for women.
As you begin planning your Galentine’s Day brunch festivities, I’ve listed 15 Galentine’s Day brunch decor ideas for you to copy that the girls won’t stop talking about for months.
Now before we get into decor, let’s breakdown some of the party planning decisions that will influence your decor plan. Starting with what type of food you want to serve.
Food Options
- Plated Meal: For the chefs and experienced cooks out there (couldn’t be me), you’re probably considering a full plated meal. If this is the case for you, just make sure to plan accordingly for amount of people as well as time of arrival.
- Buffet: A buffet can be a great and easier option when it comes to brunch. Food like waffles, bacon, and boiled eggs are easy to make in bulk. Set them out for the guests to serve themselves and take some of the burden off your plate.
- Appetizers/Treats: If you’re like me and the thought of attempting to make food for all your girlfriends is intimidating, you can take the treat option and run with it. Buy donuts, pastries, and cakes to serve that require little work on your part, but still make every guest happy.
Drink Options
- Mimosas: A tried and true classic. It’s always fun to play with what juice you use to match the color scheme of your party. I suggest cranberry, cherry, or grapefruit for your Galentine’s Day brunch!
- Coffee: I would be downright upset if I arrived at a brunch without coffee. The girls are gonna need it. ESPECIALLY if we’re day drinking.
- Tea and Juice: I’m a firm believer that every party should have NA options. You just never know when someone isn’t drinking and it can bring up some uncomfortable questions if someone is declining!
Now that you’ve determined what kind of brunch you’ll be hosting, hopefully you have a better feel for what kind of decor you’ll need.
That’s where I come in. 🙂
