Trying to maintain and renovate a house is no joke. If I’m being honest, I don’t think I had any idea what I was getting myself into with homeownership.

But it is still so rewarding to create a space unique to me. I’m so thankful to have a home and a family to fill it.

On the days I get overwhelmed with furnace repairs, grant applications for electrical updates, and needing to clean out the gutters AGAIN, I remind myself that there’s nothing better than returning home. Even when that home is rough around the edges.
